GeronTech operates through four principal areas of activity:
Generic and Applied Research
- Initiation and participation in multinational
collaborative projects for the development of new assistive technologies
- Qualitative and quantitative studies on key factors influencing the commercial
development and user uptake of assistive technologies.
Technology Transfer and Product Development

Cooperation with entrepreneurs, inventors, developers, research institutions,
and manufacturers.
- Provision of guidance, logistic support, and finance sourcing for the entry of
new assistive and rehabilitative products into the market.
Education
- Organization of professional workshops and seminars in the fields of ageing,
disabilities,and technology.
- Sponsorship of industrial design projects in academic programs.
Information

Compilation and dissemination of technical and business intelligence concerning
emerging and established assistive technologies and products.
- GeronTech also is a partner in the development of Israel’s National Information
Database of Assistive Devices, which is to be launched during 2003.
